Conference on “Co-operation of government institutions with NGOs and sustainability of the third sector: Russia in the international context”

Applications are now open for the International scholarly conference on “Co-operation of government institutions with NGOs and sustainability of the third sector: Russia in the international context”, which is going to be held at The National Research University Higher School of Economics on November 11-12, 2015 (Moscow).

Co-operation of the state and the civil society is the main theme of the conference, which integrates plenary sessions and special sections, including discussions on Russian and foreign experience of government support for NGOs, legislative regulations of non-commercial organizations and mechanisms used by government to involve NGOs in providing social services to population. Prominent Russian and foreign researches, government authorities and non-commercial sector representatives are expected to present at the conference.

The organizer of the conference is the Laboratory for Nonprofit Sector Studies at the Center for Studies of Civil Society and the Nonprofit Sector at the HSE, headed by the Professor Lev I. Jakobson and Professor Lester M. Salamon.

Working languages of the conference are Russian and English. Plenary and some breakout sessions will be accompanied by simultaneous translation.
